Overview of Employee Compensation:
Employees working in Compensation are responsible for developing and administering a compensation program for an organization. While this area is closely tied to the administration of benefits, it is specifically the compensation professional who are involved in analyzing job responsibilities and determining job levels and compensation levels. These levels are tied to salaries and wages. Compensation extends typically beyond salaries and wages to include appropriate incentive programs. In addition, compensation is often distinguished as employee compensation programs versus executive compensation programs.
